Sony claims the A7III has only twice the readout rate of the A7II. They also claimed the A9 had 20x the readout rate of the A7II. These two can't actually be both true in combination with the above known minimum, since the A9 has been clocked at around 3 GPixels/sec, and thus 6x that of the A6300/A6500.
The stacked sensor of the A9 elevates the continuous shooting speed to 20fps with AE and AF Tracking. With the mechanical shutter, the performance is 5fps. The A7 III can shoot up to 10fps with the mechanical shutter. Another advantage of the A9 concerns the buffer memory: it can record up to 362 JPGs and 241 compressed RAW files in a burst.
The a6400 doesn’t feature in-body stabilisation (so far the only Sony APS-C camera to feature this hardware update is the a6500). You can use lenses with optical stabilisation, or third-party supports including gimbals for smooth video recording. The A7 II was the first Sony camera to include 5-axis stabilisation. The two cameras offer 4K/UHD video at 30p/25p/24p and 100Mbps. The X-T2 performs a sensor crop of 1.17x while the A7 III is capable of performing full pixel readout across the entire width of the sensor at 24fps and 25fps. The only frame rate at which the Sony camera performs a crop of 1.2x is 30fps. Weight and Size: Including battery and memory card, the Sony a7iii camera weighs approximately 650 grams (1lb 7.0 oz), and the Sony a9 camera’s weight is approximately 588 grams (1 lb. 4.7 oz.). Again, the Sony a9 comes with approx. 126.9mm x 95.6mm x 63.0mm dimension whereas Sony a7iii has 126.9mm x 95.6mm x 73.7mm (approx.) size. Introduction. Sony's a7 IV is the company's latest enthusiast-targeted full-frame mirrorless camera. Its price and spec put it directly into competition with Canon's hugely likeable EOS R6. The improvements to the Sony mean that both promise powerful combinations of image quality, autofocus and video capabilities.
Z6 is a significantly better camera. Sony really didn't start kicking ass in the camera game until the A7Riii and A7iii, those are the two that really sky rocketed them into the lead. If you just look at battery life alone, it damn near tripled from the a7ii to a7iii. the auto focus was a massive upgrade as well, 2 card slots. I would never
